Communion & Liberation

Communion and Liberation ( commonly called CL ) is a world wide Catholic lay movement, started by Msgr Luigi Giussani, and currently lead by Fr. Julián Carrón. It began as a youth organization in Italy, called,  Gioventù Studentesca ( GS ), taught by Msgr. Luigi Giussani (Oct 15, 1922 – Feb 22, 2005). After Msgr Giussani’s death in 2005, the Pope appointed Fr. Julián Carrón was appointed as the new leader of the movement.

Communion & Liberation ( CL )has evolved into an organization of Catholics of all ages and nationalities. It has become far more than a group of high-schoolers. There are several books that have been published by CL, most of which are available on Amazon(click here to see them). The official Communion & Liberation ( CL ) website can be found here: clonline.org. You are welcome to explore that website if you wish to learn more about the organization.

CL publishes an official monthly magazine titled Traces. Visit www.traces-cl.com to subscribe or read more about the magazine. Or, get the iTunes app for your iPad. There is a tremendous amount of information available on the Traces app found in Apple’s App store. If you are entirely new to CL, I’d suggest starting with Traces, and the app is a great way to get started.

Communion & Liberation has published multiple books for use in weekly meetings. Here are links to the books that they have available on Amazon. Amazon typically has the best prices, but Barnes & Noble stocks some of these books as well.
